Summary |
Beth David celebrated Purim this year a little differently. As stated in a previous post, leadership decided to mark the holiday by giving to organizations that fight food insecurity. As is the custom to give treats of food to friends and family, the synagogue chose groups that help feed families in Greensboro and Israel year round.
In addition to helping others, Beth David members took turns reading the Megillah, Book of Esther and drowning out the name of HAMAN.
Kids then took part in a Kids Carnival and adults played BINGO to help determine how much tzedaka would go to each organization.
Thanks to all who participated for making Purim 5784 one to remember.
