“Michael Aram is a unique artist in the Judaica world. Though he might be better known widely as a designer of decorative housewares and furniture pieces, he also retains a well-regarded place in the Judaica industry. His journey in the art world began when living in New York in the late 1980s. Shortly after this time, he took a trip to India where his passion for metalworking was originally sparked. Aram decided to set up a home and workshop in New Delhi to explore this passion.
His inventive metal work continues to lead to the release of new and exciting pieces of Judaica that are almost like collector’s items the moment they’re received. Each one features such a beautiful and soulful energy that translates perfectly into any Jewish home. He uses old, traditional techniques to carefully craft each piece by hand. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that, in Hindi, the word “aram” means “gently, with peace, with love and care.” These values can clearly be seen in each of his detailed and ornate pieces which are so lovingly crafted by Aram. It also makes each of the Judaica he creates even more special, and adds a sense of meaning and honor to the ritual and ceremony of their use, whether they are everyday items or objects brought out only for special occasions.
Our selection of Aram Judaica includes many of his popular serving pieces, such as Seder plates, Kiddush cups, challah and bread boards, matzah plates and more. His mezuzah cases and menorahs are also highly regarded as stunning pieces to adorn any home. These high-end items are sure to be treasured by any Jewish family for years to come.
