Dear Beth David Members,
We are pleased to welcome Rabbi Grace Gleason as the Rabbi of our congregation. She will formally join our staff on July 5 and her first Shabbat will be July 8. We will have a variety of events to welcome Rabbi Gleason, starting with an official welcome cookout on July 16. Please refer to the enclosed handout for events already scheduled and be on the lookout for additional welcome activities in the weeks to come.
Rabbi Gleason is very excited to be our next Rabbi. For those of you who were unable to meet her in person during her interview, she is eager to get to know and develop meaningful relationships with the synagogue community. She recently received her rabbinic ordination, Master of Arts, and a Pastoral Certificate from The Jewish Theological Seminary. Although not an ordained Cantor, Rabbi Gleason is musically trained and has experience as a lay Cantor.
We look forward to learning and growing together with Rabbi Gleason. Please attend as many welcome events as you can and invite your friends to join you. It will be a great summer!
