Selichot

Selicot services are held Saturday night prior to Rosh Hashana - this year on September 24, 2011. Services begin at 10:00 pm and last approximately 1 hour.

Rosh Hashana - first and second days

Seats on the BimahServices begin at 9:00 a.m. each day of Rosh Hashana. Torah reading is approximately 10:00 am. Babysitting is available by reservation and Junior Congregation will begin at approximately 10:30 am.

The shofar is blown on both days of Rosh Hashana. If you would like to volunteer to be a shofar-blower for future years, please volunteer here.

TASHLICH: On the first day of Rosh Hashana, we celebrate Tashlich.We meet at the lake at 203 Kemp Road East at 5:30; walkers leave from Beth David at 5:00 pm. We begin at 5:30 pm for this short but meaningful service.

BABY BLESSING: On the second day of Rosh Hashana, we bless all babies born during the prior year. Please bring your family for this very special event.

Kol Nidre

Kol Nidre services begin promptly at 6:30 pm at Beth David. Babysitting is available by reservation. Bring your tallit - and it is a Beth David tradition to wear non-leather shoes, such as canvas sneakers, to all Yom Kippur services.

Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur services begin at 9:00 am and Torah reading begins approximately at 10:00 am. Babysitting is available by reservation and Junior Congregation begins 10:30 am.

YIZKOR: Yizkor will be recited after Torah reading.

ASK THE RABBI: An annual "Ask the Rabbi" session is held in the sanctuary at 4:30 pm.

MINCHA SERVICES: Mincha/Ne'ila services begin at 5:00 pm.

Havdalah - Tekia Gedola

Torchlight Havdalah Procession to end Neila Services on Yom Kippur

All Beth David Children are invited to join in holding havdala candles from the back of the sanctuary at the end of Yom Kippur. Join us for this dramatic close to a dramatic day and High Holiday season.
