Welcome to Beth David Synagogue in Greensboro NC!We are pleased to welcome you to the Greensboro Jewish community and your interest in Beth David Synagogue!

Founded in 1944, Beth David is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue with a continuing commitment to Jewish life. From Shabbat services to life cycle events to lifelong Jewish education and Tikkun Olam, we can add to your spiritual, social and educational life. Our kehilla (community) is known for its vibrancy and warmth, and we hope you will decide to become part of our congregational family after you've explored what we have to offer.

Membership FAQ

What do I get for my membership dues?

A lot! You get a sacred community made up of caring clergy, staff and members to support you through life's challenges and to celebrate the good times.

  • You get a community of friends with whom you will learn, grow - and struggle.
  • You get to be challenged to improve yourself and the world through lifelong Jewish learning and Tikkun Olam opportunities.

What is the process for joining Beth David?

It's easy. Contact our Executive Director Susan Goldstein (or call 336-235-7735) who will answer your questions about Beth David and show you around our facility, introduce you to Rabbi Havivi and arrange committee chairs to reach out to you so you can get involved.

What if I can't afford to pay the stated dues amount?

No one is turned away for financial reasons. Our Dues Committee or Executive Director will work with you to structure a payment plan that works for you.

Are tickets for High Holy Days included in membership?

Yes! Regular and Affiliate members are given tickets for the High Holy Days. Families receive two adult tickets, and single members receive one adult ticket. (Tickets are not required for children who are accompanied by a parent and we have Junior Congregation for them as well.)

What if my family is interfaith?

We welcome interfaith families, and support your commitment to having a Jewish family life. Beth David supports that choice through education and celebration. We are committed to exploring ways to involve interfaith families. Rabbi Havivi serves on the Rabbinical Assembly's Keruv Committee as well as the Keruv subcommittee of the Leadership Council of Conservative Judaism.

Beth David Synagogue Informal Kiddush LunchWe hope you will join us for Shabbat services, for Kabbalat Shabbat Friday evening at 6:00pm or Shabbat morning at 9:30. Please let us know when you will join us, and we will arrange for one of our members to greet you.

Our rabbi, Eliezer Havivi, especially looks forward to meeting and welcoming all visitors! If you have questions, please contact our executive director, Susan Goldstein, at 336.235.7735.
